Brazilian defender Murillo has signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract with Nottingham Forest until 2029. The

new deal is a reward for his outstanding performances, having missed just one Premier League game since his debut for the club after joining from Corinthians for £11m in the summer of 2023.
“I am very happy and delighted to be here for another four years. I would like to thank everyone for their support, not only for me but also for my family,” Murillo said. “
Wherever I go, in which shop or wherever I go, everyone treats me and my family very well, so I am very grateful for everything they have done for me and the team. I am sure we have a great future ahead of us.”

Murillo has been part of a defence that has helped Forest keep nine clean sheets in 22 league games this season, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side third in the table.
He has made 139 clearances, the most in the Premier League this season, with Everton’s James Tarkowski second on 122.
