Manchester United are reportedly planning to sign Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski for the next season.
The Poland international has less than 18 months left on his contract with the Tigers. But there has been no agreement on a new contract extension yet.
According to UFABET , the Red Devils are closely monitoring the 33-year-old’s situation and are prepared to make an offer to lure him to Old Trafford.
The outlet claims United are ready to make his first offer if he decides to leave Bayern.
Lewandowski was just off-class on Tuesday night with a hat-trick in the opening 10 minutes of their 7-1 thrashing of Salzburg in the Champions League round of 16 final second match.
With those three goals helping him break 40 goals in all competitions for the seventh season in a row.
However, there is no guarantee that Lewandowski will consider a move to United. If they slip out of the top four this season.
Anyone who sat through the saga for Lewandowski in 2018 know this is standard operating procedure for Pini Zahavi. Right now, he has Lewandowski linked to roughly half a dozen teams.
FC Barcelona is also rumored to be a contender for Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland as well. So the Catalans will have some decisions to make (assuming this is true).
For what it’s worth, Sky’s Florian Plettenberg says nothing substantial has happened yet between Lewandowski’s camp and Manchester United:
